Dr. Gearen is a recently retired orthopaedic surgeon with the the University of Florida Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute. His medical service is thirty years plus. Thousands of patients have regained the ability to function normally and to live with greatly diminished, or no, pain. Not only has Dr. Gearen been known as the "best orthopaedic surgeon in the Southeast" but he has the reputation for being a caring physican who will go to lengths to be supportive of his patients.

Dr. Gearen is a U.S. News "Top Doctor 2012." He served as Chief of Staff at Shands Hosiptal as well as Assistant Dean at UF College of Medicine. He is on the board of RTI, Inc. For recreation, "Pete" is an avid golfer.
