Dr. C. Craig Tisher retired as the Dean of the College of Medicine at The University of Florida in 2007. Nobody told him he retired though. Since his "retirement" he still goes to campus almost every day. He remained involved with the Dept of Nephrology, the CCTR Phase I Unit as well as lending his expertise when needed in the Medical School.
About Dr. C. Craig Tisher
Occupation: Dean of the College of Medicine, Retired MD
Years in Gainesville: 32
Spouse: Audrae Tisher
Children: David Tisher, Brian Tisher, Christopher Tisher
What has consumed most of his time and efforts, however has been the Wilmot Gardens located on UF's campus. He has spent hundreds of hours cutting the grass, laying sod, working with the master gardners developing plans for the healing gardens, fund raising, writing grants, you name it, he does it. His plan is to recreate a beautiful, tranquil place for patients and Health Science Center faculty, staff and students.
