Coach Montes, a Maryland native, dreams of bringing the lacrosse revolution for youth to Gainesville, by forming Gainesville Youth Lacrosse (ages 5 and up.) Montes formed this youth league after just living in Gainesville for under a month! Coach Montes lives and breathes lacrosse, leaving a positive impact, teaching not only lacrosse lessons, but life lessons to every athlete (and sometimes parents too!) he has the honor of coaching.

Coach Montes has been coaching free youth lacrosse clinics since moving to Gainesville in March 2012 to introduce not only the fastest game on two feet, but the fastest growing team sport in the US to any and all youth interested. Gainesville has already found its "home" in Montes' heart and he looks forward to a successful coaching lacrosse future, leading as many athletes ready for the challenge to play college lacrosse!
