Although Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease will assist coaching the wide receivers, he indicated they are in capable hands with former Boise State quarterback Bush Hamdan, a graduate assistant who has taken on much of departed Aubrey Hill's responsibilities.
“Timing and rhythm in the passing game are very important,” Pease said. “We have to make sure we're on the same page and all working together. I believed in Aubrey when he was doing it. I believe in Coach Hamdan now. He's been in the system and knows what to expect.
“He's done awesome. I give a lot of credit to the kids. These kids here work very hard. Not just the receivers. I'm talking everybody. I think (the receivers) understand he's new and they're going to help him and work through this, too.”
Gators not traveling well?
Officials in Knoxville revealed Wednesday that Florida has sold only about 4,500 of its allotted 8,500 tickets for the Sept. 15 game at Tennessee. Traditionally, the Gators have sold their full allotment for this road rivalry game.
