UF basketball alum Henderson sentenced in battery case

Former Gator standout basketball player Brooks Henderson, 73, was sentenced to 18 months probation after pleading no contest to felony battery charges.
Henderson also was ordered to pay restitution to the victim and go through counseling. He was arrested on charges of felony battery on a person 65 years or older on Jan. 23, 2012, in Bradford County.
Henderson, a University of Florida Hall of Fame inductee, was a three-time All-SEC guard from 1963-65. He scored 1,001 points and grabbed 365 rebounds in 66 games at UF and was named team captain his senior season.
