Florida men's basketball coach Billy Donovan's 2013 recruiting class is ranked No. 1 by ESPN on the strength of Sunday's announcement by 6-foot-10 power forward Chris Walker that he would join the Gators.

Walker, an AAU teammate of point guard Kasey Hill, UF's only other ‘13 verbal commitment, announced his intent via video on HomeTeamHoops on YouTube on Sunday morning.

"I will be playing college basketball for the University of Florida," he said. "I will be teaming up with Kasey Hill, and together we will be the best duo in college and we will win a national championship."

Walker, who plays at Holmes County High School in Bonifay in Northwest Florida, is rated the No. 7 senior of the 2013 class by ESPN, while Hill is No. 6. Walker picked UF over Louisville, Kansas, Syracuse, Ohio State and Baylor.

"I made this choice from my heart," Walker wrote on his Twitter account, "n i wanted to go to a team that ima get better as a player and a individual, we WILL make it to final 4.”
