When: Sept. 15

Where: Razorback Stadium, Fayetteville, Ark.

Why it’s No. 4: Talk about an early test. We’ll know a lot more about the John L. Smith version of this Arkansas team after this game. The Razorbacks big problem last year was traveling to Alabama and LSU. This year they get both at home.

Series history: The two teams played only twice before Arkansas joined the league in 1992 and both were Alabama wins. The Tide have a 15-8 advantage over the Hogs, but three of those wins were vacated because of NCAA issues. On the field, Alabama has beaten Arkansas five straight times.

Rivalry on a scale of 1-to-100: 78. It’s certainly a huge game and everybody in the West considers Alabama a rival. But the Razorbacks need to break their losing streak against Nick Saban to make this a real rivalry.
