No. 17 Robert Lester

Alabama senior free safety

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 210 lbs.

Why he's No. 17: Lester was good enough to come out early but chose to return to school for another season. He has been solid at both safety positions but saw his production fall off slightly as a junior. Lester has started every game for the Tide the last two seasons.

College career: Lester redshirted, then played as a freshman, but it was as a sophomore that he burst upon the season with eight interceptions and 52 tackles. Last year, he had two interceptions and 39 tackles. It's his secondary now with Mark Barron gone.

Fun fact: Tennessee is using Lester to sell tickets. A billboard in Knoxville shows UT's Dallas Thomas blocking Lester out of the frame. But it is interesting to note that both teams are wearing home uniforms. Photoshop, anyone?
