JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 90-year-old Florida woman has done what many people half her age wouldn't dare try: skydiving.

The Florida Times-Union reports Mary Ann Barnett told her family she wanted to try skydiving after turning 90 last year.

In January, Barnett's granddaughter approached her with the idea of doing it together. Two months later, they jumped out of a plane from 18,000 feet high.

The St. Augustine grandmother says she enjoyed skydiving and is ready to do it again.

Barnett's family wasn't surprised by her request. They say she has been free spirited throughout her life.

Skydive Jacksonville says Barnett is the oldest person to jump from that location, though a 92-year-old has skydived from their Titusville center.
