Florida freshman swingman Bradley Beal returned to practice Wednesday after missing UF's previous two practices with a sprained ankle.

The 6-foot-3 Beal suffered the ankle injury in the second half of the Kentucky game after landing on the foot of a Kentucky player going for a rebound.

Beal has been Florida's most consistent player this season, averaging 14.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. On Tuesday, Beal was named to the All-Southeastern Conference first team and All-SEC freshman team.

The Gators (22-9) open SEC Tournament play on Friday at 3:30 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's game between Alabama and South Carolina.
