A series of golf cart thefts reported earlier this year in Live Oak appears to have been solved with the arrests of four teenagers.
The Live Oak Police Department has filed criminal complaints against two juveniles and two 19-year-olds for allegedly stealing five golf carts.
Investigators said four carts were taken from inside the fenced compound of Dave’s EZ-Go golf cart business on Houston Avenue in early January.
Two of the stolen carts were found later in the day a short distance from the business and the other two were found days later in the same general area, police said.
The fifth golf cart was reported stolen the second week of January from a home near the golf cart business and investigators said one of the suspects in the theft admitted to selling the cart to an unknown person.
Anyone who may know anything about the case, including where the sold golf cart can be found, can provide the information to police anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 386-280-TIPS/8477.
