Interstate 75 and U.S. 441 south of Gainesville have reopened following closures Monday morning due to poor visibility from smoke and fog.

I-75 was reopened at 10:30 a.m.

At 11 a.m., U.S. 441 had reopened as well.

Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol in Jacksonville, who are still working on the devastating Sunday morning freeway crashes that killed 10 people and injured many more, had closed the lanes until visibility improved.

The closures caused commuter delays and long lines of traffic.
