Two injured in shooting at South Florida Fair

WEST PALM BEACH — Deputies say two people were injured in a shooting on the grounds of the South Florida Fair.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s officials say the shooting occurred late Saturday night near Gate 2 of the fair. The victims were not believed to have life-threatening injuries. They were both taken to hospitals. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.

One killed, three hurt in restaurant shooting

ORLANDO — Authorities say one person was killed and three were wounded in a shooting outside an Orlando restaurant.

Orlando police spokesman Joseph Windt says the shooting happened at around 2 a.m. in a parking lot at Taqueria Los Deleites. The Orlando Sentinel reports a police officer spotted a vehicle leaving the scene. After a brief pursuit, the officer took one woman and three men into custody for questioning.

Police did not release the names of the shooting victims or the suspects.

Rules on snook and grouper changing

TALLHASSEE — Several species of grouper will be off-limits in state waters in the Gulf of Mexico, while snook fishing is set to reopen on Florida’s Atlantic coast.

State wildlife officials say harvesting eight species of grouper will be closed for the season from Wednesday through March 31 in state waters in the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the recreational harvest season for snook reopens Wednesday in Florida’s Atlantic coastal and inland waters.
