Five questions with LSU power forward Storm Warren
Q: How did you get the name Storm?
A: That’s a good question. I wish I had the answer. My dad named me, but we never talked about it. I like it though. It’s an amazing name.
Q: Do you realize that it’s a pretty good name for a power forward?
A: Oh yeah. It’s very marketable. I can see that it would be easy to use in a commercial or something like that.
Q: What kind of impact has Justin Hamilton made across the frontline?
A: A tremendous impact. He’s been great for us so far. It’s a big load off my shoulders, when you have a 7-footer playing next to you that can do the things he does.
Q: Your team has already won more games than it did all of last season. What’s been the difference in LSU’s play?
A: Just having the depth at different positions. Coach (Trent) Johnson has gotten us to all buy in on the defensive end of the floor. That’s brought us closer together.
Q: You’re a senior. Have you thought about life after college basketball?
A: I’ll be finishing up this semester with my degree (in sports management). From there, I just want to pursue a career in professional basketball and play as long as the ball bounces.
