Starke police on Friday arrested a man shortly after an early morning robbery at a convenience store, police said.
According to Starke police Capt. Barry Warren, Jeremiah Pridgen Rosier, 20, of 812 N. Thompson St., was charged in connection with the robbery of the Kangaroo store at 2158 N. Temple Ave. that was reported at about 5:44 a.m.
The store clerk gave police a detailed description of the robber and the direction in which he ran off. Warren reported that Officer Chad Howell was familiar with Rosier and suspected him of other recent crimes.
Howell notified other officers of the possible routes that Rosier could be taking to get home.
Rosier was spotted at the Bradford County Fairgrounds by Bradford County sheriff’s Sgt. William Murray and was arrested a short time later.
“Our officers have suspected Rosier in several recent property crimes. The communication between officers during briefings has paid off again, with the arrest of an individual who has escalated his activities from property crimes to a crime against persons,” Chief Jeff Johnson said in the press release. “That same communication is shared between our officers and Bradford deputies, and once again our cooperation has best served the citizens of Starke and Bradford County.”
