The Live Oak Police Department may be dealing with a serial joy rider -- of golf carts.
On Jan. 9, police began investigating the theft of four golf carts from the fenced compound of Dave’s EZ-Go golf cart business on Houston Avenue.
Two of the stolen carts were found later in the day a short distance from the business. A third golf cart was recovered the next day, also fairly close to the business, police said.
Another golf cart was also reported stolen the second week of January from a home near the golf cart business.
In a news release, police said they have very little information to go on and are offering a reward for information from the public. Information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 386-280-TIPS/8477.
