State workers plan to use the low water level this winter on Little Santa Fe Lake to get some maintenance work done on the boat ramp there.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission plans to close the Little Santa Fe Lake boat ramp off County Road 21B from Jan. 30 through Feb. 6.
During the closure, the boat ramp and dock will be repaired, according to the FWC’s Boating and Waterways section.
During the week-long closure, boaters will be able to get onto the 1,135-acre lake by launching at Big Santa Fe Lake’s public boat ramp at 24500 NE State Road 26, which is about a mile west of Melrose.
