OCALA — Hannah Shankman had a busy night.

The Santa Fe goalkeeper saved seven of the 21 shots she had fired at her by Trinity Catholic on Tuesday night before the Celtics were able to finish off the Raiders, 8-0, in the Class 2A girls soccer regional quarterfinal.

The match was called in the 41st minute after Trinity's Alyssa Eashoo netted her fifth goal of the night.

Santa Fe ends its season with a 14-3-1 record after a runner-up finish to P.K. Yonge in last week's District 2A-5 tournament.

First-year head coach Bill McDavid watched his team battle early before succumbing to a deep and talented Celtic squad that ran their season record to 21-0-1.

“I think (my) girls came out and, especially right in the beginning, they did a beautiful job,” McDavid said. “I'm very proud of them.”
