Five questions with Tennessee sophomore point guard Trae Golden
Q: What point guard do you try to model your game after?
A: Probably a mix between Deron Williams and Baron Davis.
Q: What do you like about their games?
A: They are big, physical guards like me. They are able to get to the hole and knock down shots.
Q: Were you surprised that your teammate, Jarnell Stokes, had the kind of first game he did considering he could still be a senior in high school if he didn’t graduate early?
A: I wasn’t surprised. Jarnell is going to be a great player for us. He’s a physical guy and he works hard in practice.
Q: What’s the difference between playing for Coach (Cuonzo) Martin and playing for Coach (Bruce) Pearl.
A: They are both great coaches. Coach Martin, he’s more calm. Coach Pearl liked to yell. They both have completely different systems.
Q: How do you feel like you guys are playing at this point?
A: We’ve been doing OK. We’re close in a lot of games lately. We just have to find a way to finish those games off.
