What to watch for this week in SEC basketball.
Big Blue revenge
Kentucky suffered one of its six road losses in SEC play last season at Alabama. The No. 2 Wildcats will try to turn the tables at Rupp Arena, where they haven't lost in 45 games under coach John Calipari. Alabama will be coming into the game on short rest after playing Thursday at home against Vanderbilt.
Both Arkansas and Tennessee host a pair of important non-conference games Saturday. The Razorbacks face No. 13 Michigan at Bud Walton Arena, while Tennessee gets No. 13 Connecticut in the return of a home-and-home series at Thompson-Boling Arena. If both Arkansas and Tennessee can hold serve at home against a pair of Top 25-ranked teams, it can help boost an SEC RPI that currently ranks sixth in the nation.
Florida's Patric Young has been hobbled with ankle tendinitis of late. But Young will have a challenge in the post against LSU 7-foot center Justin Hamilton. LSU senior forward Storm Warren also will be tough to keep off the boards, but Florida could turn to sophomore forward Will Yeguete for help off the bench. Yeguete has averaged nearly a rebound every three minutes on the floor this season.
