Area girls soccer player I would pay to watch play: Jennifer Kizza of Eastside. I have known her since the fifth grade. She is my best friend and she is just an awesome player all-around.

David Beckham is ... A phenomenal player, but not my favorite. My favorite player is Lionel Messi.

Easiest class or part of the school day: Lunch. It is entertaining to watch people during lunch.

Florida Gators women's soccer is ... A great team, but I don't follow them.

(Note: She scored one goal in Wednesday's semifinal win over Keystone Heights and now has 100 for her career.)

Having been a part of the Blue Wave girls soccer program that has made the regional playoffs for six straight seasons has been ... Great. I have been a part of every one of those teams, and I expect to be in the postseason again.

Interesting thing about me away from soccer: I enjoy playing video games with my older brother Jeffrey. We play Bad Company on Xbox 360.

(Note: Jeffrey Mervau is a former P.K Yonge standout cross country runner, who is currently in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Afghanistan. He also had an A to Z interview in Oct. 2009.)

Just ask me, I can tell you all about ... Card games — Tonk and Spades.

Kick or a header for a goal: Kick. It is easier, you don't have to wait for it. It is right there.

Least favorite P.K. Yonge soccer moment: Losing to St. Francis in last year's district championship game.

My response to people who dislike soccer or say it is boring to watch is ... Their opinion, but depending on the sport they play I probably don't like it either.

New Year's resolution? I didn't think of one.

One person in my life who inspires me most: My mom, Michelle Mervau and my brother, Jeffrey. They have always been there for me and they have always overcome the challenges that they have had.

Potential college major: Psychology.

Quiet time activity: Reading.

Reading newspapers or browsing the Internet to get my high school sports information? Browsing the Internet. I don't get the paper.
