What to watch for in the second week of SEC basketball.

Short rest

Tennessee pulled off an early shocker by beating No. 19 Florida in its SEC opener. But things won't get any easier for the Vols. After playing at No. 20 Mississippi State on Thursday night, Tennessee returns home to host No. 2 Kentucky. The Wildcats, with an extra day to prepare after beating Auburn 68-53 on Wednesday night, should come out with more energy in the noon tip time.

Florida improved to 9-0 at home with its 70-48 win over Georgia at the O'Connell Center. But the Gators remain winless on the road (0-4). Florida will get another chance Saturday night against a South Carolina team (8-8, 0-2 SEC) seeking its first conference win.

Hog wild

Arkansas scored 98 points in its SEC-opening win over Mississippi State, but came back to earth by scoring just 63 points in its loss at Ole Miss. The Razorbacks return home for a Saturday night matchup against an LSU team that's allowing just 60.4 ppg. LSU likes to slow it down, while Arkansas, under first-year coach Mike Anderson, is an up-tempo, pressing team.
