Missing man found safe at area store

A mentally challenged man who jumped out of his caregiver's car and ran into some woods along Hawthorne Road was found safe Thursday evening.

Police were searching for Christopher M. Farrow, 26, according to Gainesville Police Cpl. Angelina Valuri. Farrow was last seen at about 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of Hawthorne Road when he left the car.

He was located at about 6:15 p.m. at Publix on Main Street, police later reported.
