Two Alachua County teenagers who were spotted shooting car windows with BB or pellet guns were arrested early Saturday morning after police found Molotov cocktails and a loaded flare gun in their car, according to arrest reports.

David Gabriel Sonenstein, 18, and Stephen Denard Hutchinson, 18, were charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief, Gainesville police reported.

Police had gotten reports of men in a 1989 white Ford four-door driving around downtown Gainesville and adjoining neighborhoods and shooting out the windows of parked cars.

An officer spotted a car matching the description, and Sonenstein and Hutchinson matched the descriptions given by witnesses. Police searched the car and found two pellet guns, a box of about 6,000 BBs, three gasoline bombs known as Molotov cocktails and a loaded flare gun.
