Florida's football team will have to be ready to hit the road in September.

Although the SEC won't officially release the 2012 schedules until next week, sources have confirmed to The Sun that the Gators will be traveling to Texas A&M on Sept. 8 and then again to Tennessee on the third Saturday of September.

The league and its athletic directors have been working on the schedules since A&M and Missouri joined the league. This year's schedule won't be a template for future schedules, rather a one-year stop-gap until the ADs can sit down and form a working schedule for future years.

While the complete Florida 2012 schedule is finished, the league has been tweaking some of the schedules for the other teams in the new 14-team SEC.

Florida won't get a return trip from Auburn this year after the Tigers came onto the Gators' schedule last season as a rotating West team. The Tigers beat Florida in Auburn last year.

Ole Miss was set to come onto Florida's schedule as a rotating West team, but because the Gators are adding Texas A&M and SEC East team Missouri (in Gainesville later in the season), that won't happen in 2012.

LSU will remain Florida's permanent opponent from the West. The Tigers will also face South Carolina in 2012 even though they weren't scheduled to rotate onto the Gamecocks' schedule.

The complete SEC schedule is expected to be released Monday.
