WEIGHT: 169 pounds
A rea girls weightlifter I would pay to watch lift: Morgan Boettcher from Keystone Heights. You could tell that she was intense when she was lifting. Former Columbia lifter Celeste Gomez. She just had this attitude and that look that she was ready to win — that in it to win it look.
B est movie I've ever seen: “Grown Ups” and “The Hangover.” They are just funny and they keep me rollin' the whole time.
C oach Steve Bauer's best words of advice for me: “Dip and shoot.” It is for the clean-and-jerk. It is when you get into your stance.
D inner on an ideal night?: I'd like to eat dinner with Adam Sandler and Ashton Kutcher at the Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine.
E asiest class or part of the school day: Probably sixth period because it is only 55 minutes until the bell rings for the day.
F eeling I have after successfully finishing a difficult lift: You just get this adrenaline rush. It is like ‘Wow, look at me, maybe I have a chance at getting back into this competition.'
G ift I am hoping to receive this Christmas: A laptop or “The Hangover Part II.”
H ardest thing about finishing a clean-and-jerk lift: The hardest thing is probably the jerk part (lifting the weight over your head) because that determines if the lift counts or not.
I nteresting thing about me away from weightlifting and softball: My Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class. I really enjoy going to that in the mornings. I like learning about health and I like the pleasure of helping people.
J oker on the weightlifting team: Taylor Wooden and Ashley Allen. They always crack jokes and tell funny stories.
K ey to being to be successful in the bench press is ... Having your mind focused and having the confidence that you can get the bar up.
L east favorite part of being a weightlifter: Definitely coming to practices after school. I am just ready to go home after being in school all day.
M y Black Friday shopping experience last week was ... I didn't go out shopping. I did go out with some friends, but we got sidetracked and ended up at McDonald's.
N eatest electronic toy or gadget I have: I like listening to music on my iPod.
O ne person in my life who inspires me most: Coach Steve Bauer. I just love him. Out of all of the coaches I have ever had, he is just really down to earth, and I just click with him.
P lacing 10th at state as a sophomore, finishing eighth last year, my goal this season is ... To place in the top three. Forget the top six.
Q ualifying seven lifters for last year's state meet and having expectations of contending for the state title, but finishing in a six-way tie for 17th place was ... Disappointing, but at the same time, I think the girls who went had fun doing it. There is a lot more pressure at the state meet. I hope we can get higher and possibly get in the top 10 versus 17th place. I think this year we have a good squad, and I think that it can happen.
R esponsibility of being a senior and the team captain is ... There is some responsibility, keeping the girls on track and making sure they are working out. It is not difficult, but it is just a matter of making sure people are doing what they need to do first.
S uperstition I have: When we get into the postseason meets, I always have to have some music to listen to. I chalk my hands and I drink two drops of honey every time. It sounds weird, but honey helps. You do it right before you are about to lift just to give you that extra spurt of energy.
T witter or Facebook page status post?: Facebook.
U niversities or colleges considering: Most likely Santa Fe College just because it is local.
V acation spot I love: I just like to go to St. Augustine Beach or to a theme park.
W ater or Gatorade after a workout?: Gatorade.
X box, PlayStation or Wii?: I don't play a lot of video games, but I have a Wii and it is fun to play.
Y ear I was born: 1993.
Z oo animal I like most: I always liked the little monkeys or the white tigers, I think they are so pretty.
