The Giants announced the roster moves Saturday. They also re-signed former LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux to the practice squad for the sixth time this season.
Trattou, a rookie free agent from Florida, was among the final cuts prior to the Giants' season opener. But he was quickly re-signed and played in the Giants' first game, recording a tackle. He was released four days later and re-signed to the practice squad.
Clayton, an eight-year veteran, will have surgery Monday for a torn meniscus in his knee.
