DEARBORN, Mich. – A Michigan judge has overturned a lower court's three-year ban on visits to a suburban Detroit mosque by a Florida minister whose rhetoric against Muslims has inflamed anti-Western sentiment in Afghanistan.

Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Robert Ziolkowski on Thursday reversed a Dearborn judge's April order that the Rev. Terry Jones and supporter Wayne Sapp stay away from the Islamic Center of America.

A burning of the Quran in March at Jones' church in Gainesville, Fla., led to violent protests in Afghanistan that killed more than a dozen people.

Michigan prosecutors sought the order after Jones announced plans to demonstrate outside the mosque.

Dearborn is home to one of the largest Muslim communities in the nation. About a third of its 90,000 residents have roots in the Middle East
