What's open, what's closed for Labor Day

  • The U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed Monday.

  • Alachua County Library District headquarters and district branches will be closed Monday. Branches and the two bookmobiles will reopen Tuesday.

  • Banks and credit unions will be closed Monday.

  • Residential curbside collection for solid waste, recycling and yard trash will not be affected and will run according to the regular schedule.

  • The five Alachua County Rural Collections Centers, the Hazardous Waste Center at the Leveda Brown Environmental Park and the Office of Waste Collection will be closed Monday. They will reopen Tuesday.

  • The Alachua County Courthouse, State Attorney's Office and Property Appraiser's Office will be closed Monday.

  • The Tax Collector's Office and Supervisor of Elections Office will be closed Monday.

  • All city and county offices will be closed Monday.

  • RTS bus service will not run on Monday. ADA paratransit services, including transportation for dialysis appointments, will not run Monday.

  • The University of Florida, Santa Fe College and Alachua County public schools will be closed Monday. Classes will resume Tuesday.
