Gatorsports counts down the top 25 players in the SEC, leading right up to SEC Media Days.

South Carolina wide receiver

Why he's No. 6: Heading into his junior season, Jeffery is considered one of the nation's elite offensive players and a strong All-America and Biletnikoff candidate. In only two seasons, he has assaulted the South Carolina record book. He is eighth in career receptions (134) and fourth in career reception yardage (2,280) with two seasons to go (if he elects to stay around after this season, which seems unlikely). He has caught at least one pass in 22 consecutive games. At 6-4, 233 pounds with speed, he is a match-up nightmare for most cornerbacks.

Key number: 11. That's the number of 100-yard receiving games Jeffery has had, tying him with Sidney Rice for the school record.

Fun fact: Jeffery, who originally committed to the other USC (Southern Cal) before switching to the SEC's USC, also was a stud on the hardcourt in high school, leading Calhoun County to four state titles.
