Gatorsports counts down the top 25 games in the SEC for the 2011 season.
No. 10 — CLEMSON AT SOUTH CAROLINA
When: Nov. 26.
Where: Williams-Brice Stadium (capacity 80,250), Columbia, S.C..
Series history: Clemson leads the series 65-39-4.
Why it's No. 10: This heated in-state rivalry dates all the way back to 1896, when the series began with a 21-6 South Carolina victory in Columbia. The Gamecock victories have been few and far between since then in a rivalry that has been thoroughly dominated by the Tigers. Maybe Steve Spurrier has changed things. Last season’s USC victory over Clemson marked the first time since 1970 that the Gamecocks won back-to-back games against their arch-rival. USC likely will be favored to make it three in a row this season - which would delight Gamecock fans, and mortify Tiger fans.
