Former Gator forward Alex Tyus will continue his basketball career overseas after signing a professional contract with Maccabi Ashdod of the Israeli Loto League.

Tyus went undrafted in last week's NBA draft and mentioned the possibility of playing outside of the country with the uncertainty surrounding the league's labor agreement. The NBA already canceled its summer league, leaving undrafted free agents unable to sign short-term summer deals.

Tyus averaged 12.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in four NCAA Tournament games as a senior.
