Tune in to Florida's summer concert season

Summer's concert season rings of retro, twang and a healthy punch of pop. Most acts are scheduled to parade through Florida, with many stopping within a two-and-a-half-hour driving distance of home.
The following is a cross section of summer concerts — 15 to plan for and peg on a map. Tickets are available through TicketMaster and LiveNation.

Vans Warped Tour
The traveling outdoor circus of rock has always been a big deal for thrashing Floridians with a thirst for metal and punk. This year, the tour has several beloved local connections: Ocala-bred pop-punkers A Day to Remember, Gainesville-bred punkers Against Me and longtime Gainesville-based ska-punk rock band Less Than Jake.
All are big deals in a line-up that also includes Gym Class Heroes, August Burns Red, 3OH!3 and Asking Alexandria.
