Three accused of stealing copper, AC from Gainesville home

Three people were arrested Monday on charges they stole a new air conditioner and stripped the copper wire from another air conditioner at the same home.
Two of the suspects, a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, are not being identified by The Sun because they are juveniles. The third suspect, Adel Charles Marwan Rohman, 20, of Hawthorne, was charged with burglary of a dwelling and grand theft from a dwelling.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, the trio was found standing next to Rohman’s car shortly after the burglary was reported by a resident in the 1200 block of Northwest 43rd Avenue. Inside the car, officers said they spotted a new air conditioner in plain view.
Rohman was booked into the Alachua County jail ,and the juveniles were turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
