The Children's Home Society of Florida's thrift shop is holding a grand re-opening under a new name Saturday.
The Family Treasures Thrift Shop event is from 1-4 p.m. at 710 N. Main St. with 50 percent off all items except furniture, in addition to door prizes and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. A book reading for children is at 1 p.m. with arts and crafts the rest of the day.
The new name reflects a store with more furniture, household items accessories, electronics and clothing, according to a news release. The shop was formerly called the Tot Spot Thrift Shop. It is operated by the Mid-Florida Division of CHS.
Family Treasures raises money and provides free items for families in the CHS foster care program.
