What is wrong with adults these days? Why are innocent children being beaten, rolled over on, and abused and killed by grown people?
A young man featured in the newspaper is accused of beating an 18-month old child. He is 18-years old. His life was just getting started, and because he reportedly chose to release his anger over his life onto an 18-month old victim who didn't even belong to him, his life is now over.
Women, you had these children. Protect them! I am so tired of hearing and reading about children being the victims of stupid, demented, and depraved adults. They are molested, abused, tortured, murdered and victimized in ways that they should not be. They are children for God's sake!
In my honest opinion, any person who is found guilty in a court of law of the heinous crimes that are committed against children should automatically be given the death sentence. No lawyer loopholes. No appeals. None of that. That child wasn't given a "way out," why should the person who inflicted this pain and torture be given a way out? The most innocent and defenseless victims are facing the most unheard of forms of abuse.
Jail is no longer a deterrent for crime. "Three hots and a cot" are actually appealing to some. Some finish their education that they may not have otherwise while on the "inside." There are actually "rights" for convicted criminals. Rights? Seriously?
How about this for a "right": Children have a right to grow up unharmed, undamaged and without emotional baggage. That "right" is the one that should take precedence. If an automatic death sentence is not a deterrent to the sick-minded individuals who perform these crimes upon innocent babies, toddlers, children, and teenagers, then nothing would. Something needs to be done legally, morally, criminally, but most important immediately. Enough is enough.
