Ocala officials holding community meeting today
The Ocala Police Department will host a community meeting at 3:30 p.m. today in the community room at 402 S. Pine Ave. to discuss recent acts of violence in the city and address citizen concerns.
Ocala Mayor Randy Ewers and Ocala Police Chief Sam Williams will attend. For more information, call Sgt. Chas Maier at 369-7131.
Senior menu for the upcoming week
The following meals will be provided by Marion County Senior Services, 1101 SW 20th Court, Ocala. Lunches will be delivered by Meals on Wheels; dinners will be provided at Marion County Senior Services. For more information, call 620-3501.

Thursday: Three bean beef chili, brown rice, whole kernel corn, wheat bread, fresh fruit, low-fat milk.
Friday: Bone in chicken thigh with chicken gravy, black eye peas, country vegetable medley, corn bread, peaches, low-fat milk.
Parents urged to complete school surveys
Marion County Public Schools has made its latest parent survey available on the district website and at each school.
Visit www.marion.k12.fl.us and click on the "Parent Survey" option in the top banner and view the survey prior to completing it in English or Spanish. Surveys also are available on the Parent Portal website.
Those without computer access can complete a survey at their child's school. All surveys must be completed by March 17.
