After arriving at the University of Florida last week to enroll in spring classes, Ridgefield, Conn., offensive lineman Tommy Jordan has decided to return home, multiple sources confirmed to The Gainesville Sun Monday.
Jordan, a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, was supposed to be one of the eight 2011 recruits to enroll at UF early. He remains committed and is expected to enroll at UF this fall, one source said.
Calls and text messages to Jordan and Ridgefield head coach Kevin Callahan were not immediately returned, Monday.
Jordan is the second offensive line commit to recently back out of enrolling early at UF. Kirtland, Ohio, Lake Catholic tackle Chase Hounshell delayed his entry to UF after former coach Urban Meyer resigned. He is still committed to UF, but is now considering Notre Dame along with Florida. Hounshell will visit Notre Dame on Jan. 22, and will make a final decision on National Signing Day on Feb. 2.
