Dooley Picks 'Em: Who do you have in Atlanta?

So who are you rooting for in the SEC Championship Game?

Or are you so disgusted not to be there you don't care?

If you do, is it South Carolina or Auburn?

Do you want the Tigers because it will allow the SEC to go for a fifth straight national title or the Gamecocks because of your affection for the head ball coach?

It's a tough call, especially if you believe there was some Auburn hanky-panky in its seduction of Cam Newton. Or maybe you are going along with the NCAA, which has declared him eligible ... for now.

Or you are rooting for Auburn because the national title game you really want to see is Auburn-Oregon.

Whatever your preference, it's come down to this, the last week of the season, although we're slightly more than two weeks away from bowl season and the opportunity for someone to explain to me the difference between the Military Bowl and the Armed Forces Bowl and how a couple of missed field goals dropped Boise State from the Rose Bowl to the Fight Hunger Bowl.

The Picks went 7-3 again last week, nailing FSU, Auburn and Arkansas. That's 93-38 for the year and the goal of 100 wins is still there. If I go 7-3, I will be the oldest picker to win 100 games in the history of college football. I think.

Auburn vs. South Carolina: Steve Spurrier's team is good enough to win this game but something tells me the Tigers are a team of destiny. Crooked? Maybe. But a team of destiny. Auburn, 31-24.

Oregon at Oregon State: They call it the Civil War (I picked the North in the last one), and there is a lot of bad blood between these teams. But Oregon is just too good. Oregon, 45-21.

Florida State vs. Virginia Tech: One of the rarest sights in all the land — a sold-out ACC title game. Virginia Tech, 24-21.

Nebraska vs. Oklahoma: Not picking against Bobby Stoops again. Plus, the Sooners have all the karma of the rest of the league rooting for them. Oklahoma, 34-24.

UConn at South Florida: Got to admit I'm rooting for the Huskies in this one just because of what they went through last year. And because anyone living in Storrs, Conn., should get a week away from it. UConn, 23-20.

SMU at Central Florida: Hmm, two state teams playing for conference titles and neither one of them is Florida, Oh well. UCF, 36-34.

Illinois at Fresno State: There is a real movement to convince the Gator Bowl to take the Illini to face UF if they beat the Pat Hill Gang. Imagine the ratings. Illinois, 27-21.

USC at UCLA: I heard a rumor that this used to be a big game nationally. Just a rumor. USC, 42-34.

Miami (Ohio) vs. Northern Illinois: What a turnaround season for the Redhawks. Until today. Northern Illinois, 42-13.

Washington at Washington State: Hey, it's a limited schedule this week. Washington, 38-12.
