Gas prices across Florida fell by an average of two cents a gallon over the past week and could fall another penny or so a gallon this week, according to AAA.

"It's unknown whether crude oil will decrease in price next week or not, even though all the signs point to a cheaper price," said Jessica Brady, manager of AAA Public Relations. "Last week, U.S. stockpiles rose five million barrels to bring total oil supply to more than 366 million barrels, in addition the dollar has made gains and consumer demand has tapered off."
Brady said those factors are expected to keep gas prices at or below their current levels for the week ahead.
Nationwide, gas prices have been averaging about $2.80 a gallon, slightly higher than the $2.78 a gallon average across Florida.
