Florida football fans will have to wait until the Sept. 4 opener to catch their first glimpse of the 2010 Gators.
Following a recent trend in college football, UF has closed all of its preseason practices to fans and the media. The Gators open their preseason camp on Thursday morning.
The Gators had only two open practices last fall, on the first two days of camp, before closing the gates for the rest of the season.
Numerous other schools around the nation have closed all their practices, including Florida State, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Oklahoma. Texas has just two open practices.
UF opens the season on Sept. 4 in The Swamp against Miami of Ohio.
