Charity basketball game to feature former Gators

Several former Florida athletes are scheduled to appear in Gainesville for the Right Track Athletes and Scholastic Foundation celebrity shootout Saturday.

The game is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Center. Former Gator athletes scheduled to appear include Percy Harvin (receiver, Minnesota Vikings), Marreese Speights (forward/center, Philadelphia 76ers), Gerard Warren (defensive tackle, New England Patriots), Cornelius Ingram (tight end, Philadelphia Eagles), Travis Taylor (former NFL receiver, retired), Shane Matthews (former NFL quarterback, retired), Willie Jackson (former NFL receiver, retired) and Terry Jackson (former NFL running back, retired).

A second game at 6:30 p.m. will feature Speights' Traveling All-Stars against the Gainesville Untouchables.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6-18. Kids under five get in for free.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Right Track Athletes and Scholastic Foundation, a non-profit organization that benefits youth in the North Central Florida region. For more information, phone Reginald White at (352) 682-3492.
