ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Authorities removed about 80 rabbits and 100 birds from a Pinellas County home.
The sheriff's office reports that many of the animals being moved Wednesday were kept in small kennels in the backyard of the home. Several of them were dead.
Workers with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which was helping the sheriff's office, also found a few cats at the home.
Among the birds were a mix of pheasants, pigeons and Chukar partridges.
It wasn't clear if the homeowner would face criminal charges.
