He has been Urban Meyer's designated hitter on the Gator Booster tour this spring while the Florida head coach has taken some more time off. On Thursday,Addazio pinch-hit for Meyer on the SEC coaches' post-spring conference call with the media.

Despite the expanded role, Addazio indicated he has not regained the title that he lost when Meyer returned for the start of spring practice March 17. Addazio is not back to being Florida's interim head coach.

When Addazio was asked Thursday what was next for Meyer, Addazio said, "Right now, everything. Coach is doing great. Everything is going right along, business as usual. I've got my eyes focused on development of the offense line and the offense, and getting ready to roll for a great 2010 season."

The next thing for the UF coaches is the spring recruiting evaluation period, which begins in May.

Meyer's next official event is expected to be the SEC spring meetings in Destin the first week in June.

Will Addazio fill in for Meyer at the meetings?

"I don't have any idea," Addazio said. "Right now, my focus is on this phone conversation. I have no idea."
