Live Oak shooting victim identified

The man who died of an apparent gunshot wound in Live Oak on Friday night has been identified.

Live Oak Police said they found Marvin Lewis O’Hara, 35, of Live Oak, inside an apartment at 813 Hillman Ave. around 11 p.m. Friday. O'Hara was flown to the trauma unit at Shands at the University of Florida, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday. Officials said it appeared he died of a single gunshot wound to the head, but complete autopsy results may not be available for several more weeks.

Additional details about the death were being withheld by police and the Third Judicial Circuit State Attorney's office pending further investigation.
