TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida House is set to vote on a $67.2 billion state budget.
The vote Thursday will set the stage for negotiations with the Senate over differences in their spending plans.
The Senate on Wednesday passed a budget bill that would spend nearly $70 billion during the fiscal year that starts July 1.
One key difference is that the Senate has included $880 million in additional federal Medicaid money although Congress hasn't yet passed it.
The Senate also would spend $435 million from the Seminole Indians in anticipation of getting a deal to allow expanded gambling at tribal casinos.
Neither of those funding sources are in the House bill.
