Alabama 68, South Carolina 63

What happened: Alabama rallied from an 18-point second-half deficit to stun South Carolina in the closing minutes.

Turning point: Down 58-59 with 2:18 to go, Alabama forced a five-seconds violation with 2:18 remaining when South Carolina guard Brandis Raley-Ross failed to get the ball inbounds from the sidecourt. After retaining possession, Alabama went on a 10-4 run to close out the game.

Player of the Game: Senior guard Mikhail Torrance led Alabama with 17 points and two assists, including the Tide's go-ahead shot with 57 seconds remaining.

Quote: "We knew in the second half, it was going to come down to our style of play. Their shots were coming up short, and that's when I knew we had them," Torrance, on the Tide's second-half comeback.

Next up: vs. East No. 1 seed Kentucky, Friday at 1 p.m.
