Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers' coach Jon Gruden has admitted on numerous occasions that he is a big fan of Tim Tebow. On Thursday, he had a chance to coach the former Gator quarterback for a day in Tampa.

Tebow had a strategy session with Gruden in Gruden's office, followed by a workout at Carrollwood Day School.

"I love quarterbacks and today I had a blast," Gruden told the Tampa Tribune. "How can you not root for Tim Tebow? He's a courageous, competitive, play-making, undeniable force. I think he's going to be a great success."

Tebow started the day in Gruden's office, where Gruden used a grease board to diagram formations and prepare Tebow for the complexities of NFL defenses. In the afternoon, Gruden worked with Tebow on his mechanics and taking snaps from under center.

"It was wonderful," Tebow told the Tribune. "To be able to spend a day with Coach Gruden was a lot of fun. He's got a passion and love for the game that's unrivaled."

Gruden also has had recent workout sessions with Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford and Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen. Texas' Colt McCoy also is expected to spend time with Gruden later this month.

Tebow has been busy since the Senior Bowl, working out in Nashville to prepare for last week's NFL Combine and UF's upcoming Pro Day on March 17. At Pro Day, Tebow will reveal his new throwing motion to the NFL coaches and scouts. Fans can also check it out because the event is open to the public this year in The Swamp. Pro Day is expected to begin at around 10:30 a.m.
