PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Authorities are investigating the death of a Port Orange man killed by a beverage cart that fell on top of him.

Authorities say 56-year-old Terry Currey was killed Monday when the cart slid off a lift at the Cypress Knoll Golf Course in Palm Coast. Another employee found Currey underneath the cart inside the course's maintenance garage. The employee could not free Currey.

The owner of the company, Greg Welsh, says a beverage cart can weigh 1,000 to 1,200 pounds without its load of ice and beverages.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will review the investigation.
