Boy dies after off-road vehicle crash in Martin County

INDIANTOWN, Fla. — A Martin County boy died after an off-road utility vehicle crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 6-year-old Nicholas Batchelor was ejected from the vehicles front passenger seat Saturday, while riding on private property in Indiantown. FHP says 39-year-old Joseph Batchelor had been driving when the vehicle overturned. He sustained minor injuries.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
